Why choose Fieldwork Co?
Here's five reasons why
1. Made Slowly
Unlike most camera straps out there. Ours are made by a single skilled craftsmen located in a small shop in Alberta Canada. Each strap is hand made one at a time, slowly, to ensure absolute quality in every step of the process
2. Made With Integrity
We’re proud of the way we choose to source our materials. And yes, we do use 100% genuine leather, but we chose Vegetable tanned leather, opposed to the more un- environmentally friendly leathers such as petroleum and oil based leathers.
3. Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our products. And are willing to put our money where our mouth is. If you’re not 100% happy with your order, let us know, and we’ll take care of you
4. Better With Age
The beautiful thing about leather, is that it changes. It starts out stiff and rugged, but then, over time, as it’s exposed to the natural elements, it develops what’s called “patina”. As the leather softens, it also takes on a new life, that will be totally unique to the way to you use it
5. Built For Life
We use 6oz leather, that means it’s strong. Also, solid brass rivets. Not only do they look cool, but their virtually unbreakable too. Seriously, if we get a rivet wrong, we need to start all over again

Meet Isaac Haines, the Edmonton Craftsman Behind
Guided by a deep sense of curiosity and initiative, Edmonton’s Isaac Haines is decidedly hands-on when it comes to developing his fine goods line, Fieldwork Co. (fieldworkco.com).
As a fly fisherman, it all started with the need for a tool roll that could easily be stored on his motorcycle during fishing trips to the mountains. After months of research to no avail, he decided to make his own; he bought a cheap sewing machine, a block of beeswax and linseed oil, painted his own formula blend onto the cotton canvas, and infused it into the fibres using his wife’s hair dryer. “Tada! I had waxed canvas,” he recalls.
